CR 38 to close for bridge replacement
A bridge replacement on CR 38 over Wolf Creek is to close the road for three months, according to the Seneca County Engineer’s Office.
The bridge is a quarter mile east of CR 39 along the Loudon/Jackson township line.
The existing bridge, built in 1932, is to be replaced by a 70-foot-wide single-span, non-composite, prestressed concrete box beam structure.
R&I Construction Inc., of Tiffin, was awarded the contract with a low bid of $548,317, and 80 percent of the cost is to be paid by federal highway funds.
Construction is schedule to be complete in early August.
