Multiple reports of trees, lines down
There were multiple reports of trees and lines down throughout the county Thursday and Friday.
A person reported a small tree was down and blocking the road on Riverside Drive Thursday evening, according to a report. Tiffin’s Public Works Department responded to the scene and was able to cut the tree so there was no longer an obstruction in the roadway, a report states.
The incident was reported at 6:09 p.m.
In Fostoria, multiple people reported a powerline surge at North Vine and West Jackson streets Thursday night.
In Tiffin, at 8:46 p.m., a person reported a branch fell on powerlines behind 45 Sycamore St. and some homes were without power, a report states. American Electric Power responded to the scene, it states.
At 12:15 a.m., a person reported a tree fell in a yard at 313 Wentz St. and the power was out, a report states. Lines were down and a tree was on the house, it states. The tree fell from 486 W. Perry St.
The report states American Electric Power was contacted and responded to the scene. Wentz Street was closed at Fostoria Street.
A person reported a tree in the roadway at 268 N. TR 15 early Friday morning.
Clinton Township and American Electric Power were contacted and responded to the scene, a report states. Tiffin Fire Rescue Division was dispatched for traffic control because power lines were down across the road, it states.
The incident was reported at 3:12 a.m. and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
A person reported there was a tree down in the road, but a passerby moved it most of the way off the road at North SR 101 and North TR 169 early Friday morning.
Green Springs Rural Volunteer Fire Department cleared the tree from the roadway, a report states. Ohio Department of Transportation was contacted, but was canceled.
The incident was reported at 3:50 a.m.
At 5:01 a.m., a person reported a tree down across the whole road at East TR 152 and North CR 33.
A 200-block East Adams Street person reported debris in the roadway Friday morning.
