Fostoria man accused of trafficking cocaine
A Fostoria man has been accused of trafficking cocaine seven times from June through August.
Marques A. Smith, 25, was indicted by a Seneca County grand jury in December and was served the indictment Wednesday afternoon by a Seneca County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
Smith was charged with seven counts of trafficking in cocaine, one second-degree felony, one fourth-degree felony and five fifth-degree felonies; and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, according to his indictment.
The grand jury specified two alleged incidents of trafficking in cocaine occurred in the vicinity of a child and that $763 is subject to forfeiture, it states.
The alleged trafficking in cocaine occurred June 25, July 3, July 16, July 26, Aug. 9, Aug. 13 and Aug. 30, and one alleged incident involved more than 10 grams of cocaine, his indictment states.
Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff is to preside over the case.
