Fair Board plans themes, events
The Seneca County Fair Board’s February meeting was largely focused on upcoming events for the start of the 2019 fair season this summer and the fairgrounds, which will be the location of several different events in the meantime.
Board members met Tuesday evening and continued to work through remaining tasks that are due soon, starting with this year’s theme: “Let the Good Times Grow at the Seneca County Fair!” “Bulls and Barrels” was picked as the main Friday night grandstand event via Facebook poll, followed by discussions on additional live entertainment.
Before adjourning into an executive session, the fair board approved a 2020 fall demolition derby, re-assigned access to fair funds among appropriate committees, and began to undertake backing-up and regaining the organization’s website domain — senecacountyfair.org — which has been redirecting visitors to an online casino website when searched on Google.
Additional Fair Board info:
• The Junior Fair is looking for sponsors.
• Free grandstand entry for children up to 36 inches tall.
• A sheep wash-rack to be added to grounds.
