Officials investigate house struck by bullet Sunday

A state official said Monday he believed a house struck by a bullet Sunday was hunting related.

About 11:35 a.m. Sunday, a woman at 2611 W. TR 26 reported a bullet went through her wall.

Jason Parr, an investigator for Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife, said the bullet, which was recovered, went through an exterior wall and drywall, bounced off a second wall and was on the floor.

Parr said two people were at the residence, and he knew one was in the house. No one was hurt.

“(There was) just property damage,” he said.

Parr said it was an open and ongoing investigation Monday afternoon, and he believed the incident was hunting related.

No one had been charged Monday. Officials had made contact with a person of interest, Parr said.
