Craft show at St. Francis announced

St. Francis Senior Ministries is to host a craft show 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in the Elizabeth Schaefer Apartments, 190 St. Francis Ave.

Multiple vendors are to attend.

Proceeds from the show are to benefit the residents at St. Francis Home.

Storybook Adventure set for Saturday

BELLEVUE — Historic Lyme Village is to host the annual Storybook Adventure 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

The event is to feature live entertainment, music, dancing, a comedy play presented by EHOVE students, a Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme tour, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by the Bellevue Society for the Arts and aa Prince Charming’s Princess dating game.

The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12.

Nonviolent Tiffin to host fall event

A fall family hayride and story time event is to take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, located on the campus of the Sisters of St. Francis campus on St. Francis Avenue.

The event is sponsored by Nonviolent Tiffin Committee.

Attica church to host Octoberfest

ATTICA – Octoberfest is to take place 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 320 Pike Road.

Dinner is to be served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. Carry-out meals are available. The menu includes roast pork or barbecue chicken, potato, sauerkraut, green beans or applesauce, dinner rolls, beverage and homemade pie or cake. Children also have the option of hot dog or roast pork.

The event includes a super raffle and bakery bingo.

Outdoor activities include events for all ages.

Genealogy classes announced at HPLM

FREMONT — The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums is to host a program on how to use paid genealogy websites in family history research.

Becky Hill, an experienced genealogist and retired head librarian, is to present the program 2-4 p.m. Sunday.

The cost is $10 and can be paid the day of class.

The event is to feature games, a bouncy house, knocker balls, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, crafts and more.

Health district offers senior screening

Seneca County General Health District is to sponsor a senior health check clinic 9:30-11:15 a.m. Monday at Fostoria Senior Center, 125 W. North St., for anyone age 60 or older.

The check is to include vital signs, glucose, hemoglobin, lung sounds, edema, urinalysis, weight, review medications and education.
