TCS marketing committee to meet
Tiffin City Board of Education’s Marketing Committee is to meet at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Administration Building, 244 S. Monroe St.
T-SPL to host playtime event
The youth services department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the Playtime @ the Library program 10 a.m.-noon Friday and Sept. 21.
The program now is to be offered twice a month in the Frost Kalnow Room of the library, 77 Jefferson St.
Hosted with Seneca County’s Ohio Early Intervention, toys and activities are to be offered to children ages 18 months to five years old.

Clyde alumni band to host performance
CLYDE – Clyde-Green Springs Alumni Band is to host its annual performance during the pregame and half-time ceremonies Friday at Clyde High School Robert Bishop Stadium, 105 Race St.

Bingo to benefit Allen Eiry Center
Allen Eiry Center is to host a benefit bingo and raffle with doors opening at 9 a.m. Saturday at Tiffin Moose Lodge, 1146 SR 53.
Doors are to open at 9 a.m., with a breakfast buffet served 9:30-11:30 a.m. Bingo is to start at noon.
No tickets are to be sold at the door the day of the event. Each package includes bingo cards, raffle ticket and an automatic entry into the Lucky Number and the Moose Ball.

Waste district to collect household hazardous waste
Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca Joint Solid Waste District is to sponsor a household hazardous waste collection 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca County fairgrounds.
The following paint and related materials are to be accepted during the collection in containers no larger than five gallons:
• Latex and oil-based paint, sealers, primers, coatings and spray paint aerosol cans.
• Household pesticides (bug and rodent killers), herbicides (weed killers) insecticides (bug killers) and fungicides (mold killers).
• Varnish, polyurethane and shellacs, wood stains, primers and strippers, paint thinner, turpentine, kerosene and lighter fluid.
• Household cleaners (oven and drain cleaner and muriatic acid).
• Inhalers (asthma only) and used cooking oil.
• Hand-held propane cylinders.
• Household batteries, fluorescent bulbs and compact fluorescent bulbs.
• Automotive fluids, including antifreeze and motor oil.
• Marine and auto flares.
• Mercury – liquids, thermostats and thermometers.
Any paint or household hazardous waste container that is completely dry and empty can be disposed of in your regular trash if the lid is removed.
No construction materials (shingles) or asbestos materials accepted.
FELC to host garage, bake sale Saturday
A garage and bake sale is to take place 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, 194 St. Francis Ave.
Volunteers are needed to help set up 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and work the event 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

HPLM to host Ohio Open Doors event
FREMONT – A variety of public events, including a free grounds tour and behind-the-scenes glimpses, are to be offered 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
HPLM is to offer a free grounds tour and look at the speakers’ platform in the museum and the lantern at the top of the Hayes Home.
These events are being offered through Ohio History Connection’s Ohio Open Doors program.
