A man was injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident on North SR 101 Sunday afternoon.

Frank A. Eachus, 28, of Bloomville, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension and failure to control, said Sgt. Kent Jeffries of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol.

Jeffries said Eachus was driving a 2005 Hyundai Sonata south on North SR 101 when he drifted off the right side of the road, overcorrected and went off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned and rolled at least once before coming to a rest on its wheels in a field, he said.

Jeffries said Eachus was transported by North Central EMS to The Bellevue Hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.

He said he didn’t know if Eachus was wearing a seatbelt.

Life Flight was put on standby, but was cancelled, Jeffries said.

The accident was reported at 2:43 p.m. and North Central EMS, Republic EMS, Green Springs Rural Volunteer Fire Department, Scipio-Republic Fire Department, the Echo unit, State Highway Patrol, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and D&D Total Repair responded to the scene.
