Crews keep busy with accidents in the county

Crews responded to multiple accidents in the county Saturday afternoon.

A three-vehicle accident was reported at 1:33 p.m. on US 224 just west of SR 53. Bascom EMS, Bascom Joint Fire District, the Echo unit, State Highway Patrol, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, John’s Welding and Towing and Reinhart Auto Body responded to the scene.

Further information was not available Saturday night.

Personnel also responded to a two-vehicle accident on West TR 132.

Trooper Ethan Branham of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said a woman was transported by private vehicle to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital for precautionary reasons. Two adults and two children were in the other vehicle and were not injured, he said.

The vehicle with four occupants struck a utility pole and the power was knocked out, Branham said. He said North Central Electric Cooperative was contacted.

The accident was reported at 4:42 p.m. and Bascom EMS, Bascom Joint Fire District, the Echo unit, State Highway Patrol, North Central Electric, John’s Welding and Towing and D&D Total Repair responded to the scene.
