Trustees to discuss wind projects
Boards of trustees for Adams, Pleasant, Reed and Scipio townships have planned a special meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Township Board of Trustees, Old Fort.
According to a release, the purpose of the special meeting is to discuss legal matters with Attorney Jack Van Kley in regards to wind projects in Seneca County and any matter that pertain to wind projects.
Man sentenced to prison
A Columbus man was sentenced to prison during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom.
Kelbley found Paul R. Kirkby, 55, violated the terms of his judicial release and ordered him to serve 358 days in prison, court records state.
Kirkby had pleaded guilty to a charges of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and theft and forgery, fifth-degree felonies.
community control violation
A Fostoria man admitted he violated the terms of his community control.
Dustin E. Westenbarger, 39, admitted the violation during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.
He had been convicted of possession of heroin, a third-degree felony, and sentenced to three years in prison in 2011. He was granted judicial release and ordered to serve three years of community control in 2012, court records state.
Shuff continued Westenbarger’s community control, they state.
Westenbarger must complete a program at Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Rehabilitation Center and undergo random drug and/or alcohol urinalysis as directed by Adult Parole Authority or WORTH Center.
Man admits violation
A Wellston man admitted he violated the terms and conditions of his community control.
Adam C. Nettles, 33, admitted the violation during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom.
His community control was terminated as unsuccessful, court records state.
Several people were indicted by a Seneca County grand jury.
Bailey Jo Myers, 21, of Carey, was charged with complicity to bribery, a third-degree felony, court records state.
Keith M. Marker, 26, of Fostoria, was charged with domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.
Scott E. Nye, 40, of Tiffin, was charged with domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.
Kenneth A. Wagner, 40, of Tiffin, was charged with theft and possessing criminal tools, fifth-degree felonies, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a first-degree misdemeanor, court records state.
Justin M. Vaughn, 27, of Bloomville, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
