Power lines fall on truck
Two power lines that were stretched across the road came down on a semi traveling on West CR 42 Monday morning.
About 9:30 a.m., a person reported to Seneca County Sheriff’s Office that a power line was down on West CR 42.
Chief Craig Mellott of Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department said it hit a semi truck that was traveling east. The truck had minor damage, and the driver got out safely, he said.
Mellott said the lines were burning when firefighters arrived. American Electric Power was summoned.
“Everybody did (lose power) around here for a second. … Everybody should be back up,” he said.
Personnel from North Central EMS assisted at the scene.
