A youth was cited after an accident at SR 101 and CR 38 Saturday afternoon.

Sgt. Matt Davis of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said Alissa Keefe, 16, of Tiffin, was traveling west in a 2003 Honda Civic on CR 38 and stopped at the intersection. Adam Turner, 39, of Bellevue, was traveling in a 2013 Ford Fusion south on SR 101 in a 2013 Ford Fusion with Sophia Turner, 12, and Katelyn Turner, 11, both of Bellevue, he said. Davis said Keefe failed to yield at the intersection, pulled out and struck the Fusion in the rear which pushed the vehicle off the roadway and into the ditch.

Everybody was wearing their seatbelts and nobody was injured, he said.

Keefe was cited with failure to yield at stop sign, Davis said.

The accident was reported at 2:48 p.m. and Tiffin Fire Rescue Division, Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Department, State Highway Patrol and John’s Welding and Towing responded to the scene.
