• Conversations about faith discussion class

“No Hopes Barred” is an informal gathering where matters of faith can be freely discussed and explored. Participants bring topics of interest. Although the faith lens will be primarily Roman Catholic, all faith traditions are welcome. Programs will be 7-8:30 p.m. March 6 and 13, in the first floor lounge at St. Francis Spirituality Center, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin.

• Monthly Alzheimer’s support group

The Alzheimer’s Support Group at St. Francis Home meets at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of each month in the multi-purpose room. For information, contact Ann Huth-Fretz at St. Francis Home, at (419) 447-2723.

• Straw bale house tours

Tours take place the second Sunday of every month at Little Portion Green, the straw bale house at St. Francis. You also can enjoy a home-cooked brunch using local foods for a free will donation. Reservations for brunch and a tour are available by calling Sister Jane at (567) 207-5393. Tours will begin March 11 2-4 p.m. behind the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, located at 194 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin.

• A Lenten Retreat

with Thomas Merton

The Rev. Donald Goergen, O.P., will give a 25- minute CD presentation, “A Lenten Retreat with Thomas Merton,” followed by sharing among participants. The programs will be 1-2 p.m. March 7, 14 and 28 at St. Francis Spirituality Center, 200 St. Francis Spirituality Center, Tiffin. An offering will be taken. • Science Day for Kids

Become scientists for the day. Join us for as many days as you can. We will explore a different branch of science each time. And the only way to explore is to do experiments, labs and activities. Bring a lunch. Cost is $15, scholarships available. All programs will be led by Sister Shirley, a science teacher for 28 years, and Matt Miller, a biology teacher.

Science days will be 8 a.m.-3 p.m. April 2-3. The program is for kids 5-10 years old at the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center, 194 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin.

addiction seminar

The Rev. Joshua Wagner returns to Tiffin, from Columbus, for the opening act. Headliner and clean comedienne Leslie Norris Townsend, of Celina.

The Rev. Richad Lennan, doctor of theology, will present a DVD discussion.
