TOLEDO — A man has been charged in U.S. District Court in a child pornography investigation.

Charles Brian O’Neill of Fostoria was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor (production) and receipt and/or distribution of child pornography, according to court paperwork filed in U.S. District Court’s Northern District of Ohio in Toledo Thursday.

Fostoria Police Department received information from O’Neill’s family Feb. 20 that O’Neill was in possession of child pornography in the Fostoria area, according to a Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent’s report.

A search warrant was obtained for O’Neill’s residence at 1023 Gerlock Drive, Fostoria, and child pornography was located on O’Neill’s cellphone, it states.

A search warrant was executed for O’Neill’s barn on Bairdstown Road in Wood County, and a computer, CDs, DVDs, hard drives and USB storage devices were seized. Sexual paraphernalia, children’s costumes and other sex-related items were in the room, according to the report.

O’Neill had been indicted by a Seneca County grand jury on two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, one a second-degree felony and one a fourth-degree felony; and two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, one a second-degree felony and one a fourth-degree felony.
