A man and an infant were hurt in a three-vehicle accident on SR 53 Tuesday morning.

Deputy Denny Wilkinson of Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said Marcus Adams, 47, of New Washington, was driving a 2015 Ford F-250, owned by Source One Adjusters of Ohio, a repossession company in Canal Fulton. Ben Bishop, 27, of Tiffin, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet HHR.

Wilkinson said both vehicles were traveling north on SR 53, and Bishop had stopped to turn left into his driveway. Adams didn’t see Bishop stop and struck the Chevrolet in the rear, he said.

The Ford F-250 went left of center and struck the mirror of a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Sierra, driven by Travis M. McGrady, 38, of Port Clinton, and owned by Mid-Ohio Pipeline Services, Wilkinson said.

Bishop and a passenger, Bailey Bishop, 4 months old, had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken by North Central EMS to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, Wilkinson said.

Adams and McGrady were not hurt, and Adams was cited with assured clear distance ahead, he said.

All drivers were wearing seatbelts, and Bailey Bishop was properly restrained in a car seat, Wilkinson said.

Personnel from North Central EMS and Old Fort Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene of the accident, which was reported about 8:25 a.m.
