Four hurt in Sandusky County accident

A Gibsonburg man was critically injured in an accident in Sandusky County’s Washington Township Tuesday evening.

A release from the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol states Robert D. Heminger, 26, was in critical condition at Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center.

Heminger was a passenger in a 2001 Toyota Rav4 driven by Trey A. Wiseman, 33, of Green Springs. Wiseman was in stable condition at Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital, according to the release.

Another passenger, Michael J. McVicker, 33, of Fremont, had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, according to State Highway Patrol.

The release states Wiseman was driving north on SR 600 and failed to yield at the stop sign. He pulled into the path of a 2017 Ford Focus being driven east on US 20 by Darryl P. Finney, 66, of Bellevue

The Ford struck the Toyota. The Ford slid to rest in the center turn lane of US 20, and the Toyota went off the north side of US 20, the release states.

Finney was in stable condition at Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital, according to State Highway Patrol.
