Boy charged in fatal shooting

FREMONT — A 14-year-old boy was charged in connection to the shooting death of a Fremont teenager Sunday afternoon.

A release from Fremont Police Department states the police department was sent to 344 Jackson St. for a shooting about 5 p.m. A 14-year-old boy had been shot and was pronounced dead during transport, it states.

A 14-year-old boy was being charged with involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence, obstructing official business and burglary. He was taken to Sandusky County Juvenile Detention Center, the release states.
