Man pleads guilty
A Fremont man pleaded guilty to two charges during a hearing in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom.
Charles T. Brantford, 26, entered written negotiated pleas of guilty to charges of carrying concealed weapons, a fourth-degree felony, and possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, court records state.
The case was referred for a pre-sentence investigation.
TAG to host art class
Tiffin Art Guild and Gallery is to host a peony blossom acrylic painting class with instructor Jon Adams.
The class is to be conducted over four Wednesday sessions, 6-9 p.m. Aug. 30 and Sept. 6, 13 and 20 at the gallery, 130 S. Washington St.
The class is to feature painting of a close-up pink, red, white peony blossom covering an entire canvas.
Cost is $45 for TAG members and $55 for non-members. There is to be a $5 charge payable to the instructor for supplying the canvas.
The deadline to register is Aug. 25, so the requisite number of canvases can be purchased and prepared for the class.
Make a craft at Helena winery
HELENA — Chateau Tebeau Winery is hosting a “D.I.Y. & Wine” class 6-8 p.m. Aug. 9. Attendees can make their own wine cork “initial” decor. All materials will be provided but you can bring your own corks or your own collection.
Cost is $20 (plus tax) per person and advance reservations are required by Saturday. Call (419) 680-0386 for reservations.
