The community is helping those who lost their belongings in an East Market Street fire Friday afternoon.

The fire displaced a couple and a 3-month-old baby girl in 10 1/2 E. Market St., the apartment where it started, and a man in an adjacent apartment. American Red Cross was summoned to assist.

Both apartments were on the west side of the building, and multiple rooms in both apartments sustained significant fire damage, Chief Kevin Veletean of Tiffin Fire Rescue Division said.

Veletean said the fire started in the living room at 10 1/2 E. Market St., but the cause was undetermined Friday night due to the extent of the damage.

A GoFundMe page at www.gofundme.com was set up and named Fire Relief for Justin and Brianna.

It states Brianna Franklin, Justin Collet and their baby, Lily, lost everything, and help was needed to find a new home, furniture and clothing.

The campaign had raised $340 of its $5,000 goal Saturday evening.

The Salvation Army also was collecting donations to help the fire victims.

Firefighters from four local departments fought the fire Friday. No one was hurt in the fire, which was reported at 12:35 p.m.
