Two taken to hospitals after chase reported
Two people were taken to hospitals after a chase was reported Sunday night.
Trooper Richard Donovan of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said Kobe Sours, 21, of Green Springs, was transported by his father to ProMedica Fremont Memorial Hospital, and Shawndrae Koch, 16, of Fremont, was taken by Tiffin Fire Rescue Division to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.
Their injuries were not life-threatening, he said.
Seneca County Sheriff’s Office received a transferred call from Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office about 8:45 p.m. Sunday about a man in a vehicle reporting being chased by a vehicle. The chase ended on CR 37, near CR 38.
Donovan said the chase ensued after an issue with a sale of stereo equipment in Clyde. A Trailblazer was behind a Ranger, and the vehicles collided, he said.
Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt, he said.
Donovan said no one had been cited Monday, and officials planned to send the case to a prosecutor’s office for review.
North Central EMS and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office personnel assisted at the scene.
