Old Fort getting new church | Advertiser-Tribune OLD FORT — About 15 years ago, members of Old Fort United Methodist Church started talking about constructing a new building. A committee was formed to take input from church members, draw up plans and set aside funds for construction. With the economic downturn and pastors coming and going, the project was placed on the back burner. The Rev. Marc Quinter has been at his post for less than two years, but said he immediately was drawn into the project. The building committee, led by Bret Fry, finalized the floor plan last October.
