Waiting for its wings
Volunteers load the fuselage of a Ford Trimotor being restored at Liberty Aviation Museum onto a trailer Aug. 18 and roll it out of the museum hangar. It was moved to the new restoration hangar at Port Clinton Municipal Airport. The restoration project is to continue in this new hangar, which is able to shelter several other planes and other restoration projects, if needed. The fuselage remained on the trailer until it can be lifted and placed back on its wood base on the ground. The center wing section was moved along with all the wing spars earlier in the day, which helped to create room in the museum hangar for the Big Band Dance Saturday and other events.
