Man awaits sentencing on cocaine, assault charges
A pre-sentence investigation was ordered last week for a Tiffin man after he pleaded guilty to charges of assault and possession of cocaine.
Nathan S. Haskell, 35, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony charge of possession of cocaine and a fourth-degree felony charge of assault in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley’s courtroom, according to court documents.
In April, a woman had reported Haskell pushed her down at her West SR 18 apartment. Haskell then led Fostoria police on bicycle and foot pursuits on Columbus Avenue in which he dropped bags of suspected marijuana and cocaine, along with other items believed to have been stolen.
After he was apprehended following the pursuit, Haskell pushed a police officer backward and ran away. Following another brief foot pursuit, he was taken into custody near Boston Avenue.
