Drug trafficking case to go before jury
A heroin trafficking case is to be presented to a Seneca County grand jury after it was bound over to the higher court this week.
A charge of trafficking in heroin, a fourth-degree felony, had been filed in Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court last week against Tyler J. Bustamante, 33, of Tiffin. The case was bound over to Seneca County Common Pleas Court this week during a preliminary hearing.
Police had arrested Bustamante on the charge, which stemmed from a warrant, and also executed two drug-related search warrants at his two Tiffin residences Aug. 12.
Suspected heroin and steroids, prescriptions pills, money, criminal tools and evidence of drug trafficking were found during the searches.
Bustamante’s $250,000 bond was continued during the preliminary hearing.
