Basket Bingo planned at mall
The fifth annual Basket Bingo for the American Red Cross is set for Sept. 13 at Tiffin Mall Bingo Hall.
Doors are to open at 8:30 a.m. This special bingo is divided into two sessions, one starting at 11 a.m. and the other at 3 p.m. Players can win a Peterboro basket during each session of the six early bird games or on one of the Lucky Seven games.
Prizes for the main raffle include a 55-inch RCA HDTV, a 15.6-inch Toshiba laptop computer, an Amana washer and dryer, Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer, Whirlpool chest freezer, $400 21-inch Ariens snow blower, $300 cash, red RCA microwave oven or 13 weeks of free bingo packages.
A large bingo package is $35 for one session or $60 for both sessions. A small bingo package is $30 for one session or $50 for both. Raffle tickets for door prizes are included in the packages. Those who pay for packages by Sept. 10 receive extra tickets for the main raffle.
Regular games are to pay $100 each; speed games pay $150 each; Queen of Hearts pays $300; and Bonanza pays $400. The jackpot will pay up to $4,000 in 52 numbers or less, $500 in 53 or 54 numbers, $400 in 55 or 56 numbers and $300 in 57 or more numbers. Instant tickets also are to be available. Food and drinks are to be served.
Pantry Plus of Seneca County, which operates the weekly bingo game at the Tiffin Mall Bingo Hall, works with the American Red Cross on this annual event to benefit the local Red Cross chapter.
