Three arrested after robbery of teen
Two men and a juvenile were arrested early Tuesday morning after a teenager reported he was jumped and robbed on a bike path.
Sgt. Joseph Feld of the Tiffin Police Department said Damian Fortner, 18, of Tiffin, and Ryan Hochmuth, 18, also of Tiffin, along with a 17-year-old boy, were arrested and charged with robbery after a man reported Monday around 11:45 p.m. his 17-year-old son had been jumped and robbed on the bike path.
Feld said the victim knew the suspects and he and his father went to a residence where the three were staying. The father then called police. According to Tiffin police reports, police responded to a 100-block Cottage Avenue residence where two suspects arrived.
The boy’s wallet and other personal items, including a cell phone, were returned, Feld said. He was not injured as a result of the robbery, Feld said.
