Man charged after kicking cruiser

A Bellevue man was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly kicked the inside of a deputy’s cruiser following his arrest Monday evening.

Deputy Troy Gibson of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said Max Crawford, 62, of Bellevue, also was charged with physical control of a motor while intoxicated and OVI refusal after Gibson found Crawford’s vehicle parked in the roadway near East CR 34 and North SR 18 and Crawford nearby.

Following Crawford’s arrest, Crawford then allegedly kicked at the glass and the interior of the cruiser as he was being transported to the jail, Gibson said.

Gibson said the cruiser is scheduled to be inspected for damage.
