Indications of drug abuse, trafficking found in search

A drug-related search warrant was executed Wednesday night at an East Tiffin Street residence in Fostoria.

Sgt. Don Joseph of the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit said during execution of the search warrant at 300 E. Tiffin St., items indicative of drug trafficking and drug abuse were confiscated by law enforcement.

Joseph could not specify what items were found.

He said no arrests were made, but one person was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Chuck Boyer, unit coordinator of METRICH, said the man arrested was Renaur J. Lamb, 27, of Toledo. Lamb was arrested on a drug trafficking warrant, Boyer said.

“Pending the rest of the investigation, we’ll decide if charges are pursued,” Joseph said of the items confiscated Wednesday.

He said several people were in the house during the action and were released after being detained for investigative purposes.

Boyer said one of the people in the residence was pregnant, and she was checked out by EMTs for precautionary purposes. She was not injured, he said.
