Tiffin man guilty of assault following fight
A Tiffin man was found guilty of assault Wednesday after pleading no contest to the charge in Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court.
Cory A. Cook, 25, who was charged with the first-degree misdemeanor in February following a large fight and triple stabbing on Miami Street, also was sentenced Wednesday to three years of community control by Judge Mark Repp, according to court documents.
Cook had punched a man who tried to intervene during an altercation in which three people were stabbed Feb. 8 in the first block of Miami Street. The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The alleged attacker, Bobby C. Moore, 32, of Tiffin, faces three counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. He is scheduled to appear in Seneca County Common Pleas Court today for an arraignment.
