Suspicious brownies investigated
BETTSVILLE – Bettsville police are investigating the report of a student who allegedly brought marijuana-laced brownies to school Monday.
According to Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, an officer was requested at Bettsville Local Schools Monday afternoon after a person reported there were possible drugs in some brownies.
Sgt. Melissa Broshious of the Bettsville Police Department said a student had reported another student, a senior, brought brownies that contained marijuana to lunch.
The brownies had not been consumed by any students, Broshious said, and were taken by police to be sent for testing. Broshious was unsure when police would have the results.
The incident remains under investigation, she said.
