Seneca GOP plans student Columbus trip
Local students interested in government and politics are invited to discuss public policy issues with Republican elected officials and others in Columbus Wednesday.
The trip for high school and university students is organized by Seneca County Republican Chairman David Koehl. Interested students should contact him at (567) 207-5778 or senecarepublican
Students need school permission and parental permission if younger than 18.
Students are scheduled to meet with Speaker of the Ohio House Rep. Bill Batchelder, R-Medina, Rep. Rex Damschroder, R-Fremont, and Rep. Jeff McClain, R-Upper Sandusky. Sen. Dave Burke, R-Marysville, Ohio Industrial Commission member Karen Gillmor and Republican State Chairman Matt Borges are to take questions from students.
The trip is open to any local student regardless of their political views.
Students are to attend a session of the Ohio House and meet with top officials of the Kasich administration.
There is no cost except lunch. Transportation will be provided by Reineke Ford.
