Man sentenced for drug charges

A 19-year-old Tiffin woman was sentenced to three years of community control this week after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.

Jiana N. Masella also was ordered to 100 days in jail and had a six-month license suspension imposed by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff after she entered guilty pleas to two counts of trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony, according to court documents.

Masella was one of several people indicted by a Seneca County grand jury in February on charges involving heroin, prescription drugs and cocaine. The indictments were a result of several investigations on behalf of METRICH.
