Man found guilty of weapon possession

A jury found a Fostoria man guilty of having weapons under disability following a two-day trial this week.

Trey A. Johnson, 29, was found guilty Tuesday of the third-degree felony charge in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom, according to court documents.

Johnson had been indicted on the charge following his arrest in Fostoria in May.

During a search warrant at Johnson’s residence on West North Street, which was prompted after a fight and a gunshot were reported on the same street, police located a handgun.

No one had been shot, but one person was injured during the fight.

Johnson’s bond was revoked Tuesday and he was taken into custody, according to court documents.
