ATTICA – As the racing season gets closer by the day and interest in the Attica/Wayne County Late Model Challenge Series grows, so does the list of sponsors.

Hoosier Tire is to give a free tire to the driver finishing the highest in each race that is running Hoosier tires, while American Racer will do the same for the best finisher on its tires.

VP Fuels is the sponsor the Hard Charger Award for each race, as the driver gaining the most positions from his starting position is to collect 5 gallons of fuel.

Making the heat races more interesting, Innovative Graphics is to give the driver posting the most heat wins in the series $250 off a wrap for his or her car.

Summit Racing is to honor the top 10 finishers in the final points with a $100 gift certificate each.

The Attica/WCS Late Model Series is to start May 2 at Attica Raceway Park, then head the next night to NAPA Wayne County Speedway.

The series returns to NAPA WCS May 24, with the next stop on the docket for Attica Raceway Park to be June 20.

Another double weekend is July 11-12, with a $1,000 bonus up for grabs if the same driver can win both nights that weekend.

The last stop at NAPA WCS is to be Aug. 9 and the final race for the series is to take place Aug. 30 on the 1/3-mile oval track at Attica Raceway Park.

Each feature is to pay $1,500 to win.

The points payoff is to start with 50 points for the winner, with second place getting 45 points and third getting 43. Fourth place is to get 41 and fifth is to collect 39 markers.

From there on down, it will be one less point for each position down, with 20th place getting 24 points. All cars not making the feature are to get 15 points. Each heat winner is to pick up a 5-point bonus.
