Home Expo set for weekend
After a successful first year at the Heminger Center at Tiffin University, the annual Seneca County Home Expo again is to take place there Friday through Sunday.
Brian Bilger, director of the Home Expo, called the facility “excellent,” and said the center is a great location that has allowed the show to expand and add vendors.
Bilger said many visitors came to the show last year in part to see Heminger Center and “got to see a great show.”
He said the goal of the Seneca County Home Expo is to “provide a good, quality show” that showcases builders, contractors, real estate agents and bankers from Tiffin, Fremont, Findlay, Galion and Toledo.
The Home Expo allows vendors to display their products and services and present visitors with options for projects, he said. Many vendors choose to show off the “newest, hottest products,” he said.
Each year, Bilger said, the Home Expo hosts about 2,000 visitors, and this year he expects the show “to be a little bit bigger.” Major sponsors of this year’s event include Sutton Bank, Old Fort Bank and Zeis Cos., he said.
The Tiffin Area Car Dealers Association is to have a selection of cars, trucks and SUVs on display during the expo, he said, and, as an added attraction, the Tiffin Ohio RC Modelers Association will have displays and demonstrations of model airplanes.
Bounce houses for kids again will be set up during the show, he said.
Admission to the expo is free, Bilger said, and $1 tickets can be purchased for the chance to win a big-screen TV, an iPad or a GPS unit.
The Home Expo is open 5-9 p.m. Friday, noon-8 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
