Fire department buys engine
SYCAMORE – During the Sycamore Village Council meeting Tuesday evening, Fire Chief Brian Clouse announced the purchase of a new fire engine from a dealer in Pennsylvania. The vehicle cost $118,500.
According to Clouse, the village is to take Engine 520 out of service to fully equip the new truck. Firefighters are being trained on the new vehicle and Clouse said the engine should be fully prepared for full service in time for the annual fire department gathering in the Sycamore fire house at 6 p.m. Monday.
Clouse also announced that the fire department still has an open position left by the resignation of Bobby Campo.
In other news, council:
Approved the payment of all outstanding bills.
Arranged an income tax committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 26.
Voted to allow an EMS captain to request a training and equipment grant from the Division of EMS of the State of Ohio.
