Search reveals suspected stolen items
A search warrant was executed early Tuesday morning at a North Main Street residence in connection to a residential burglary reported Sunday night.
Capt. Patrick Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department said the search, conducted at 852 N. Main St., unveiled suspected stolen property. Police searched the residence after the Sunday night arrest of Travis R. Mason, 21, of Fostoria.
“His arrest led to the execution of the search warrant,” Brooks said. “We got information that stolen property was at the residence.”
Mason faces charges of aiding and abetting, a second-degree felony, and retaining property, a fifth-degree felony, in connection to a burglary reported Sunday night at a 700-block North Main Street residence. There, a woman reported a TV, Xbox and other items were taken during a burglary.
Brooks said no residents at 852 N. Main St. have been arrested, but charges are pending. He said Mason is being held in the Fostoria jail.
