Montz plans online town hall

Mayor Aaron Montz announced Thursday that he is to begin holding online town hall meetings where residents are able to ask Tiffin-related questions and have them answered live.

He said he hoped the chat setting would allow individuals to share ideas and air concerns that they have not had the opportunity to offer in the past.

The online set-up allows individuals to see every question and every answer, and also allows people to see the conversation after the chat is over.

Montz said he hoped the meetings would help to improve communication between the city and residents. He said if the meetings are successful, guests such as the city engineer can also answer questions during the meeting.

“There are good ideas waiting to be heard,” he said.

All questions must be appropriate and related to Tiffin. Montz said he would like to have the meeting on Tuesdays, but will change the time each meeting so individuals with variable schedules can participate.
