Man taken to hospital after being found on bridge

A man was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital after he was found lying on the Rock Creek Bridge on West Market Street Monday evening.

Tiffin Police Officer Corey Galyk said the 59-year-old man had been walking when he got too cold, fell and couldn’t get back up.

The man, who was believed to have suffered a medical condition, was not sure how long he had been lying on the bridge, Galyk said.

A caller had reported the man down just before 5:30 p.m.

Galyk said the hospital expressed concerns about frostbite, but it appeared the man would be OK.
