Camden Falls hosting annual wedding showcase Sunday
Brides-to-be will be welcomed Sunday at Camden Falls Reception and Conference Center, 2460 S. SR 231, for its annual wedding showcase.
The event, said Camden Falls general manager and owner, Adam Smith, will allow brides-to-be and their guests access to a wide variety of vendors to help them plan their uniquely perfect wedding days. Those vendors, he said, range from “bridal shops to DJs to photographers to jewelry stores.”
The wedding showcase allows brides an easy way to preview and compare services that will be a part of their celebrations, taking stress out of what can be an overwhelming process, Smith said. Goodie bags filled with vendor information will be distributed to guests at the event, he said.
The showcase, he said, is noon-3 p.m., and tickets are available at the door for $3. More than 100 brides-to-be and over 500 guests are expected for the day, he said.
Smith said many vendors at the Wedding Showcase are local businesses and individuals, and he is proud Camden Falls is able to support local companies.
Door prizes will be given away every half-hour throughout the event, he said, and the winner of the grand prize will be announced at 2:45 p.m. The grand prize consists of a first-place gift package, in addition to second- and third-place prizes, with a total value of $850, Smith said.
The third-place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Carmie’s Grill and Bar; the second-place prize includes a free night at the Tiffin Hampton Inn and a free rehearsal dinner room rental; and the top prize is $350 in cash and a free rehearsal dinner room rental, Smith said.
If the first-prize winner is booked at Camden Falls for her event, the $350 in cash can be applied towards the food/beverage charge for the occasion, he said.
The winner of the grand prize must meet certain requirements to be eligible for the grand prize to help ensure the focus of the day remains on celebrating brides-to-be. The winner must be engaged and planning a wedding, be present at the time of the drawing and able to provide identification, he said.
Carmie’s Grill and Bar also will be open during the event, he said, offering food specials for guests not attending the showcase.
