2 council members sworn in
BLOOMVILLE – Bloomville Village Council members Ray Sexton and Joe Kelbley were sworn into office by Village Solicitor Tim Hoover Wednesday night.
Two more council persons are being sought. Resident Bill Oliver attended the meeting to view the proceedings before declaring an interest in serving on council. Two other interested parties did not attend the meeting.
Street Superintendent Rick Dentinger reported some repairs to the bathhouse roof were completed, but the roof and the pump house roof are to need further attention and he is to seek quotes for the project. He also had a village truck serviced.
The meeting went into executive session to discuss pending litigation.
In other action, council:
Granted a variance for the medical building to again be used for medical purposes.
Adopted the ordinance establishing amounts in the petty cash and change fund.
Approved a resolution assessing the estimated property tax revenues by the county auditor and declaring an emergency.
Were reminded of the fire department fish fry, pork roast and gun raffle at 5 p.m. Saturday at the firehouse.
Announced a Seneca Regional Planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
Council is to meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 5.
