Man pleads not guilty to vehicular homicide

A man charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in connection to a fatal August accident has entered a not guilty plea to the second-degree misdemeanor.

According to court documents, an attorney for Spencer C. Miller, 20, of Bloomville, filed the plea on behalf of Miller Friday in Tiffin Municipal Court.

Miller was charged with the offense last week in connection with an Aug. 13 accident that resulted in the death of 78-year-old Audra DeMoss of Tiffin. Miller had failed to stop at a traffic light at the intersection of Nelson and Miami streets and collided with a van driven by DeMoss’s husband.

Audra died after being transported to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center by Life Flight.

A jury trial for Miller has been scheduled to begin March 19.
