Man found guilty of robbery
A jury found a man guilty of robbery this week after a two-day trial in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.
According to court documents, a pre-sentence investigation was ordered for James E. Simonis, 22, of Blacklick, who was found guilty of the second-degree felony charge.
Simonis was arrested Aug. 21 after a caller from Kroger, 126 W. High St., Fostoria, reported a man stole items, swung at an employee and then fled from the store.
He was found by police nearby and apprehended. His vehicle also was impounded.
