Lacking quorum, Republic council does what it can

REPUBLIC – Unable to reach a quorum for a meeting Monday evening, village council members did not carry out official business.

Council members did hear the second reading of ordinances for adopting the 2014 Ohio Basic Code and establishing temporary appropriations for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2014.

The village Christmas parade is to begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, with treats to follow.

The council is to meet next at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16.
