Tooth and bones found in basement
FOSTORIA A tooth and bones found in the basement of a North Poplar Street residence Wednesday night have been sent to a coroner’s office.
Capt. Pat Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department said the tooth and bones were picked up by police and transferred to the coroner to determine whether they are animal or human bones.
He said police were unable to visually identify the bones.
According to Fostoria police reports, a resident in the 100 block of North Poplar Street had reported finding the bones while digging in the basement.
