Tiffin man arrested after evading police
A Tiffin man who fled from law enforcement Sunday night as they attempted to arrest him on warrants was apprehended Wednesday afternoon.
Lt. Jason Windsor of the Tiffin Police Department said Ray C. Moore, 32, was arrested at a residence on Colony Avenue after police received a tip that he was there.
Moore had run from Seneca County Sheriff’s deputies and Tiffin police Sunday night as they attempted to arrest him in the 500 block of East Perry Street.
Windsor said Moore had recently returned to Tiffin and had been hiding from police since.
“We finally caught up with him today,” Windsor said.
Moore was arrested on warrants that included charges of failure to appear and assault. A warrant also had been issued by the adult parole authority.
Windsor said Moore is a registered sex offender. According to the Seneca County Clerk of Courts website, Moore was convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in 2003.
