Students helping students in Fostoria

FOSTORIA – Students from St. Wendelin Catholic School Faith in Action classes and freshmen theology classes are to volunteer to mentor students in Fostoria City Schools through Project MORE.

Project MORE is a volunteer-based reading mentoring program for at-risk students. Coordinator Pam Berrier has worked with St. Wendelin Principal Mike Amlin on student involvement.

Students attended an orientation by Berrier on Project MORE where they learned about the program and how to be a tutor. Each student was given lesson plans to follow each time they work with a child.

Buses are to be available to transport students to Fostoria City Schools. The students will work with children twice a week.
