Tiffin man pleads not guilty in rape case

A Tiffin man facing two counts of rape pleaded not guilty to the charges this week in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff’s courtroom.

Raymond F. Plott, 46, who was indicted last month on the first-degree felonies for allegedly raping a person July 6, also had his bond modified Tuesday to $200,000 with 10 percent allowed, a court spokeswoman said.

If convicted of the charges, Plott could face up to 11 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000 for each count, according to his indictment.
