Police investigating man’s death in Attica

ATTICA – Law enforcement is investigating the death of a man who was found in a vehicle Thursday morning at a home in Attica.

Attica Police Chief Keith Turner said police were dispatched to the residence at 10:47 a.m. for the report of an unresponsive man inside a vehicle in the driveway.

According to Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, police, firefighters and EMS were dispatched to 23 E. High St.

Upon arrival, the man was found dead, Turner said.

He said the man, whose identity has not been released, did not have visible injuries. Turner said the man, in his mid-30s, is from Tiffin.

Turner said the residence belongs to the man’s friend, who called law enforcement to report finding him unresponsive.

Turner said a search warrant was executed at the residence Thursday and the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation is assisting in the investigation. They were still at the scene Thursday evening processing evidence, Turner said.

He said the death is being viewed as suspicious. An autopsy is scheduled at the Lucas County Coroner’s Office, Turner said.
