Attica man gets 15 months for drugs

An Attica man was sentenced to 15 months in prison after recently pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.

Matthew K. Troup, 26, was handed down the sentence by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley after pleading guilty to three counts of trafficking in heroin and one count of possession of heroin, according to court documents.

Troup was indicted on the charges in May for selling or offering to sell heroin in December of 2011.

According to court documents, Troup also was ordered by Kelbley to pay restitution in the amount of $1,800 to the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit and his license was suspended for six months.
